COBALA participates in the business market Sustainability Summit

COBALA was invited by the Sustainability Summit at the International Airport Breda. COBALA selected 3 of the 17 themes from the UN Global Goals to contribute to sustainability; 3 Good Health and Well Being, 8. Decent Work and Economic Growth and 13. Responsible Consumption and Production.

The Editor in Chief, Fiona Godlee, of the BMJ invited COBALA at the annual Friends of the Journal drinks reception  on December 18th in London. It is a great honor for COBALA to be invited by the Editor in Chief by one of the best and independent medical journals as the BMJ.

Dr Carla Peeters CEO of COBALA started as a patient reviewer for the BMJ in 2015. Her blog on the economic value of patients in the improvement of healthcare was published in March 24, 2015.

On Friday, February 3rd 2017, Dr. Carla Peeters was speaker at the Laego* congress on the subject of malnutrition and pressure ulcers.

The theme for the conference this year, where 100 general practitioners and specialists in geriatric medicine participated, was' Meaning’. 

Carla Peeters was invited to speak following her interview in the ZonMW** monitoring report on meaning in care. In this interview she presents her holistic approach to health. On the subject of malnutrition and pressure ulcers she previously wrote an article "Pressure ulcer prevention pays off " and a blog: "Malnutrition is underestimated" for Skipr, a leading magazine for the healthcare sector [linkje invoegen naar de website van COBALA] .

* Laego was established as a national network of GP’s under geriatrics. We aim to optimize primary care for the elderly, both dwelling elderly people and for elderly people in a nursing home.

On the 3rd  of February, Dr Carla Peeters was supervisor of one of the workshops at the Bilderberg Conference of VNO-NCW.

The workshop was a dialogue on how to increase the resilience of people, organizations and the Netherlands in relation to the campaign of VNO-NCW. Netherlands Next Level. Entrepreneurs, politicians, professors, students and executives from organizations participated in The Bilderberg Conference.
